⁵ On perceiving their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” ⁶ Now some scribes^[a] were sitting there, thinking to themselves: ⁷ “How can this man say such things? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
